I spent a lovely week at the Bassenthwaite. The view of the lake from my lodge was absolutely stunning. My accommodation was comfortable and clean. I appreciated the small welcome touches, like fresh milk and sparkling water. The hot tub was fantastic and provided a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location suited my needs perfectly, with various walking trails nearby and dog-friendly cafes. I did encounter a cleanliness issue in the bathroom. There was some mould around the silicone seals, which detracted from the otherwise pristine environment. The vacuum cleaner was not effective either and needed a thorough clean before I could use it. Despite these issues, I found the staff to be kind and helpful, which added to the overall warm atmosphere of the place.

This place was an excellent fit for a weekend break with a good price-quality ratio. We arrived to find personalized surprises like balloons and treats waiting for us, which made our stay special. Make sure to enjoy the dog walking field with your furry friends.
